Hi, I’m Chris and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read about me and how M. Boutique came about. The story is very simple and started because of a person that I hold very close to my heart, my mother Mina.

 

I am one of fifteen children and being the youngest have always typically been “mama’s” boy. At the tender age of 7, I began my career in the entertainment world when I travelled all over working as a singer, dancer and acrobat. I desperately wanted to succeed so that my mother would be looked after both physically and financially.

When we received terrible news that she had been diagnosed with cancer, my world totally shook and I was determined to help her win her battle.

Whilst in L.A., where I lived at the time, I came across an article on the dangers of household cleaning products and the evidence linking many of them to cancer. It wasn’t long before I realised that over sixty years of inhaling toxic chemicals while cleaning homes and offices, most probably contributed to my mother’s diagnosis. I got straight to work by suggesting that my mother remove all processed foods from her diet and some other changes but knew that there was still a long way to go and that much more would have to be done.

My mom started her radiation treatment and I started researching and buying hundreds of different household products, so many so, that I became obsessed and my house began to look like a makeshift storage unit. I needed to know everything there was to know about each product, how safe and efficient they were and what chemicals they contained. After endless research I decided that if I were to meet both my mother’s needs for a high standard of cleanliness and mine of environmentally and human-friendly, then I would have to create my own products.

So, inspired by my mom’s story and determined to create safer, organic products, I originally founded the Luxury by Nature by M.Boutique brand for the Homecare sector but after a while decided to focus my expertise on designing products for Hair & Body, Pets and Babies, something for everyone.
